On Thursday (12/15), the Hackathon Web3 for the tokenization of the Union’s assets came to an end. The marathon brought together programmers and professionals from different areas
to face challenges on education and construction of solutions
blockchain on web3. The objective was to help the public administration in the management of the Union’s assets. Registration took place during the last month of November 2022. The closing was at Enap headquarters in Brasília-DF, where the
winners. Hackathon Web 3 distributed R$ 150,000 to the winners.
Participation of 27 projects in União’s first Web3 Tokenization Hackathon
The challenge had the participation of 27 projects, out of 419 registered. Thus, teams
several parts of Brazil that were gathered from November 21 to December 15, were able to seek resolution of the challenges. The initiative was a partnership between the Union Heritage Coordination and Governance Secretariat (SPU), of the Ministry of Economy, Serpro and the National School of Public Administration (Enap). The entities combined experience with the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso) and the Celo Foundation to carry out the first collaborative educational activity on Web3 between members of the public administration and civil society. For Enap’s Director of Innovation, Camila Medeiros, the first marathon promotes Web3 education in Brazil.
“The challenge was aimed at promoting education about Web3. We can and should understand open innovation competitions as opportunities to train people on a certain topic, as happened at the Hackathon.”
As for the Secretary of Coordination and Governance of the Union Heritage of the Ministry of Economy, Fabiana Rodopoulos, thinking outside the box to innovate in the public sector is fundamental for Brazil.

Winners of Brazil’s first Web3 Hackathon
In the “General Prize: Tokenization of the Union’s Heritage” category, the team Insignia presented the project on “Fractionation and auction of real estate at the service of the Union” and took the first position. In second and third position, the winning groups were Tokenverse (Web3 UX, DvP and Permissioned Tokens) and GeoReg Team (GeoReg: registration of georeferenced properties in blockchain), respectively. In Challenge 1, companies had to present an idea for “Characterization and Incorporation – Real estate registration, registration and domain chain and Issuance of titles with the force of public deed”. The winner was the team BlockTeam, with the idea Blockchain real estate registration platform. In 2nd place was the team Satoshi Chain (Tokenizing the Union’s Assets) and in 3rd place the participants of the BlockchainOne (SPUnet on the Web3). In a note to Livecoins, Enap also announced the winners of the various categories of Challenge 2, which can be seen in Figure 1.
