Braiscompany delays payments and users complain; company says update was to blame

The cryptocurrency investment company Braiscompany, which operates in the state of Paraíba, was the subject of complaints starting on Tuesday (20). According to customers, the company delayed part of the payments scheduled to happen exactly that day. In some recent publications on the company’s Instagram profile, customers mention that they have not received their payments for the month of December. The company is famous for offering returns of up to 8% per month through alleged investments in cryptocurrencies. However, it is possible to notice that several of the publications no longer have comments regarding charges for delays. Other users noticed this and questioned it further, claiming that the company was deleting billing messages.

Company blames “application” for launch

According to the news portal “Polemic Paraíba”, many customers were taken by surprise because of the delay. The company makes monthly payments to customers on a timely basis every 20th of each month, but December payments did not fall on that date. A customer, who requested anonymity, told the portal that he made several comments on Instagram, but had no response to the complaints. Only after contacting Braiscompany’s support did the customer learn that the delay was due to an “update” in the company’s application. In a note, Braiscompany said it intends to launch its Brais A application on December 18 and therefore had to make updates to integrate the system. “We inform you that the payments of the remuneration rates for tomorrow, 12/20/22 will be made within 72 hours. This will be so that we can sync our payments with our app,” the company said via email. Currently, Braiscompany does not use the app or an internal system to pay customers. Instead, the company sends alleged monthly profits directly to the user’s reported bitcoin wallet held at cryptocurrency exchanges.

Financial Pyramid Accusations

The Braiscompany case gained repercussions at the end of 2020, when the company fell into the sights of analyst Tiago Reis. Founder of Suno Research and inveterate critic of Bitcoin (BTC), Reis has accused the company of operating a financial pyramid scheme. At the time, the profitability that the company offered was around 3 to 10% per month. The value, which was already completely out of market reality, is compatible with that offered by other suspicious companies. “Whoever is from Paraíba, where Braiscompany has a strong presence, tell your friends to leave this pyramid. The sooner they get out of this, the better, because whoever takes it will be left with nothing”, warned the analyst. After he exposed the company, Reis even fought a dispute in court where he accused Braiscompany of being a financial pyramid. The company sued the analyst for defamation, but lost in court and had to prove that it is not a pyramid. However, since that time Reis has stopped talking about Braiscompany or any alleged pyramid schemes on his social media. As for the company, the lack or delay of payments are always bad signs, given that these are the first signs of the collapse of alleged schemes.
