Amazon AWS users will be able to run on Avalanche’s

Ava Labs, developer of the Avalanche blockchain, announced that it will offer cryptographic infrastructure through Amazon Web Services (AWS). The announcement took place on Wednesday (11), according to the company’s official profile on twitter. Built and operated by Amazon, AWS provides cloud services to some of the world’s largest companies. And in that sense, the partnership aims to facilitate “corporate, institutional and governmental adoption of blockchain”. As part of the deal with Amazon, Ava Labs will offer “Deploying Subnets” as a service through the AWS Marketplace. Meaning, any company can enlist Ava Labs to launch a custom subnet on AWS. “At AWS, we want to bring the most advanced technologies to builders, whether they work in a multi-million dollar company, a government office or a dorm room,” said Howard Wright, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS. One of the main competitors of Ethereum, Avalanche is a blockchain optimized to support NFTs, Web3 games. In addition, the network has a unique technology called “Subnets”, which act as custom blockchains created within Avalanche. But these networks can have custom rule sets and even use their own token instead of the native AVAX. As a result, Subnets offer more autonomy for users to create their projects independently.

Avalanche Expansion

As part of its agreement with Avalanche, Wright added, AWS will help expand Avalanche adoption “to new geographies and customer segments.” The giant will also support new tools for Avalanchea’s infrastructure and ecosystem. Those operating the Avalanche nodes will also benefit, as GovCloud customers will now be able to run their nodes on AWS. GovCloud is an AWS system aimed at government and state institutions. As a result, organizations that must adhere to stricter data governance regulations will still be able to adopt Avalanche technology for public sector projects. The measure guarantees more security for the data, while having Amazon’s guarantee. “It has been a huge boon for individual and enterprise developers to be able to dynamically create nodes and test networks with AWS in whatever legal jurisdiction makes the most sense for them,” said Emin Gün Sirer, founder and CEO of Ava Laboratories. “I am proud that we have implemented a protocol that can accommodate millions of participants with near-instant completion. Our work with Amazon can accelerate Avalanche’s positive impact,” added Sirer.

More partnerships

But the partnership does not end there. Ava Labs is also joining two other AWS services, Activate and the Partner Network (APN). AWS Activate provides support for tech startups, while APN aims to provide “growth” tools and “funding resources”. AWS will also participate in future events related to the Avalanche ecosystem, such as the Avalanche Summit, Avalanche Creates and hackathons, according to the announcement. Recently, tech giants have been looking to blockchain technology to improve their cloud services. Google, for example, launched its own Cloud Node Engine for Ethereum developers in October and became a validator for Solana the following month. As a result of the optimism with the partnership, the AVAX soared more than 23% in the morning of this Thursday (12), reaching R$ 79.27.
