Carrefour Property, the business and real estate management unit of Grupo Carrefour Brasil, announced the expansion of the number of cryptocurrency ATMs (ATMs) in its units. The action results from a partnership with the ATM network for the purchase and sale of Coin Cloud cryptocurrencies. Carrefour will install five more crypto ATMs, bringing the total number of ATMs to nine. In the first quarter, the Jardim Pamplona Shopping, in São Paulo, and the Ribeirão Preto, Osasco and Tamboré hypermarkets, in Barueri, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, received the ATMs. And by the end of October, five new ATMs will be installed in Carrefour Property’s galleries in the cities of Curitiba, in Paraná, Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, and Recife, in Pernambuco. In the state of São Paulo, Sorocaba and São José do Rio Preto were also provided with an ATM in each municipality. More Crypto ATMs Arrive at Carrefour Units

Coin Cloud is one of the biggest crypto cash companies. The company has more than 5,800 ATMs between Brazil and the United States. Its equipment allows trading various digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH), for example. For this, the user only needs to perform a simple registration and present an identification document. The machine itself does the whole process. Then, the customer can now access their digital wallet via QR Code and make the transaction using reais. As highlighted by Coin Cloud, its expansion of ATMs across Brazil aims to encompass all types of crypto investors. This includes, above all, those less accustomed to digital transactions. After all, in general, these people feel safer operating solutions they already know, such as ATMs. “Coin Cloud’s proposal is to democratize the use of cryptocurrencies, giving people the opportunity to know or explore this world more frequently in a safe way via ATMs, a technology that is trusted by Brazilians and with which everyone is already used to it. ”, said Isabela Rossa, country manager for Coin Cloud in Brazil.
