Paraiba comedian Lucas Veloso decided to advertise against the cryptocurrency investment company Brasicompany. Through his Instagram account, Veloso claimed to have suffered a default by the company and recommended his followers to keep their distance. Veloso does not mention the name of Braiscompany or its founder, Antonio Neto Ais, but the comedian had a relationship with the company since 2020. According to the comedian, Braiscompany sought him out with the aim of establishing a commercial partnership. The goal was for Veloso to publicize the company’s service on his social networks and help attract customers. However, Veloso, son of fellow Paraiban comedian Shaolin, now defends just the opposite. In the sequence of stories published on Thursday (5), he says: “leave this company”. “I apologize”, says Veloso about having advertised for Braiscompany. In addition, he recommends: “Leave the company, go away. People who work there told me that there is a shared commission, so whoever takes a client earns a commission… what is the name of this?” This Friday (6), Veloso gave another justification for the breakup of the partnership. According to the comedian, Braiscompany also became a partner and sponsor of a feature film that he has plans to make. But the money never came, even after the film received approval from the National Film Agency (Ancine).

Businessman sues Veloso

The owner of Braiscompany, Antonio Neo Ais, responded to Veloso’s accusations. In a video also recorded on Instagram, Ais called the comedian a “bad character” and said he will sue him for defamation. In stories, Veloso also promised to open an alleged financial black box. In response, Ais claims there is nothing wrong with the company’s finances or business model. “On the contrary. We had compliance and his film (Veloso) did not present the required documents, ”he said. In a video also on Instagram, Neto said he will sue Veloso for defamation and accused Veloso of changing his stance out of interest. Ais mentions that the comedian wanted “a few million” for his film, and as Brasicompany did not pay, he began attacks against the company. Finally, Ais mobilized several personalities who came to his and Braiscompany’s defense. Among them are former Bahian fighter Acelino Popó Freitas and Paraiba singer Fabiano Guimarães.

Braiscompany paralyzes withdrawals and generates controversy

This is the second time that Braiscompany has been involved in controversies in the last two weeks. The company temporarily stopped payments to customers at the end of December, as reported by CriptoFácil. At the time, customers went to the company’s Instagram and commented on the case, but some went unanswered. Then, Braiscompany stated that the delay was due to the launch of the Brais App, its new application. But the company’s page on Reclame Aqui still has a series of comments about delays in payments due. One of the comments even points out that the company is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).
