Fiesp elects Josué Gomes da Silva as president this Monday

The Fiesp (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo) held on this Monday (5.Jul.2022) an election to choose the new president of the entity and the new board. The election is held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the Fiesp building on Avenida Paulista. Simultaneously, the election for the presidency and new board of Ciesp (Center of Industries of the State of São Paulo) will also be held in the building on Avenida Paulista and at 42 regionals mirrored by the State. The election at Fiesp has a single ticket, with Josué Gomes da Silva as the candidate for president and Rafael Cervone as the 1st vice-president. Gomes da Silva is expected to replace Paulo Skaf, who has been in charge of the country's largest industrial federation for 17 years and remains in office until December 31. At Ciesp, Cervone is running for the presidency for slate 2, with Josué Gomes as 1st vice-president. José Ricardo Roriz Coelho runs for the ticket 1. Those elected will assume terms of office beginning on January 1, 2022 and ending on December 31, 2025. There are 113 unions eligible to vote. According to Fiesp, the result of the vote should be released this Monday (5.Jul). The electoral process is accompanied by a commission composed of:Sydney Sanches (former minister of the Federal Supreme Court); Ellen Gracie (former minister of the STF); Admiral Pazzianotto (former minister of the Labor Court); Ives Gandra Martins (constitutional lawyer and professor); andMaria Cristina Mattioli (Retired Judge of the Regional Labor Court)

He was not elected. It has been in charge of Coteminas since the end of the 1990s.
