There are countless mobile applications to flirt and meet new people, from the general Tinder -the most used in the world, with more than 50 million users- to niche mobile applications, organized by age -such as apps to flirt between people older-, by theme -a tinder for cyclists- or by political ideology, like The Right Stuff.
Raya is available to any iOS user, although access to its functions requires that the entry be approved by a user committee
But there is a very curious, exclusive application to flirt, which can only be accessed by famous people or people with a certain purchasing power. An app in which to find the perfect life partner if what you want is glamour, money, cameras and spotlights. This is Raya, the app used by celebrities to interact and get to know each other.
Anyone can download Raya from the Apple Store app store. It is currently not found in the Google Play Store for Android mobiles, which makes it even more exclusive. Creating a profile is free, as well as submitting the request to be approved for access. Another thing is to get admitted, something that most users will not achieve, since it is necessary to prove a certain level of fame, popularity or high economic status.
To give you an idea, in this application, created in 2015 by the Californian entrepreneur Daniel Gendelman, there are users like Demi Lovato, Sharon Stone, Cara Delevigne… It has also been used in the past by Ben Affleck and many other celebrities who have now found love And well-known faces arrive who have just lost it, as is the case of the presenter Risto Mejide, who has already been seen on the application after his breakup with Laura Escanes.
An anonymous committee of users is in charge of approving -or rejecting- the new applications of those aspiring to join Raya, and the level of requests received is such that it can take months to get confirmation to access the service. In addition, there is no “waiting list” that indicates how long it takes for your application to be approved, but it can arrive at any time.
Once the application is reviewed and accepted, the user has the option to pay for a monthly, six month or full year subscription. Because yes, using Raya is not free, but in order to use its features you have to pay. The minimum cost is 5 euros per month.
Paying does not guarantee continuity in the application either, since if it is discovered that the user has lied about his level of popularity or economic income, or if he is denounced by other users for not respecting the principles of the platform (honesty, transparency and , of course, exclusivity) can be expelled at any time from Raya.
Otherwise, Raya offers a very similar user experience to other dating apps. It allows you to “like”, match and start a conversation with other similar users, allows you to make video calls within the application itself… and so on.
