Proof of Stake… is a compilation of Buterin’s writings on the creation of Ethereum over the years. The work is the result of a collection of essays written by Buterin before and during the rise of Ethereum. An Internet-native world
According to the book’s description, Buterin’s works centered on building an internet-native world. The idea behind Ethereum, according to the work, was to create a complete ecosystem for the development of a cryptoeconomy. In this sense, the work states that the Ethereum developer was not focused on the token economy part, but on the fundamentals. “While many around him were focused on seeing the value of his tokens increase, he was working through the issues and possibilities of creating an Internet-native world,” the work said. However, many critics of Ethereum claim that the fact that most of the tokens are in the hands of the Ethereum Foundation contradicts this precept.
